Notion troubleshooting
Restore your Notion connection.
Reconnect when the integration has expired, the X Collections database cannot be found, or your workspace permissions have changed.
When to reconnect
- The popup says the Notion connection is missing or expired.
- The extension cannot find the required X Collections database.
- The database was restored after being archived.
- You changed workspaces or removed the integration from Notion.
Reconnect from extension settings
- Open X/Twitter Tweet Backup and select the settings button.
- Open the Notion section.
- Select Reconnect Notion.
- In Notion, choose the intended workspace and approve the requested pages.
- Return to extension settings and wait for the connected database to appear.
Share the correct database
The integration needs access to the X Collections database used for exported posts. Authorizing an unrelated page will not restore sync.
Restore an archived database
If X Collections was archived or moved to trash, restore it in Notion first. Reopen extension settings and reconnect so the extension can validate the database again.
Verify the fix
- Open a supported URL such as
https://x.com/{username}/status/{id}. - Wait for the post to finish loading.
- Open the extension and select Sync to Notion.
- Confirm the new page appears in X Collections with the source URL and post content.
If it still fails
- Reload the X/Twitter post and retry.
- Confirm you are signed into the same Notion workspace you authorized.
- Check that the database is not archived and remains shared with the integration.
- Disconnect the integration, close the settings page, reopen it, and complete authorization once more.
Markdown and Obsidian export remain available without Notion while you troubleshoot the connection.
